Autumn is a lovely time in Southern Minnesota. The plethora of deciduous trees lining the Mississippi River turn into rich hues of red, orange, and yellow. Although the trees lost their leaves over a month ago, I am, as usual, behind in my posts. The fall colors of the Twin Cities were just too beautiful to leave out of my blog.

One morning when I was headed to work on my bicycle, I encountered a mass of runners, apparently involved in some type of race. It was only 8:30 am and about 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and there were a number of runners wearing shorts. These people must have thick skin!
The street I live on: the neighbors find it necessary to rake the leaves only once during the fall season.
